FINANCIAL REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2017 Income for November $5,862.38  Expenses for November $6,050.13 Shortfall for November minus $187.75   ATTENDANCE Average weekly attendance for the month of  November 2017 was 80.5, and the yearly  average is 74.9.  
JANUARY CONGREGATIONAL MEETING  Mark your calendar and be sure to attend the Congregational Meeting on Sunday, January 28, after the  worship service to hear financial and other results for 2018 and to elect nominating committee members.   See you there!

FROM THE SESSION The Session met on December 17, 2017.   The financial report for November was presented by Elder Nancy McClellan, details are given below. There  was a small cash shortfall for November but still positive cash-flow for the year to date.  Nancy McClellan reported on plans for the 50th anniversary celebration in February A catered dinner on  Saturday evening, February 24 is being planned, with catering quotes and entertainment possibilities being  explored. Invitations to members, former members and friends will be sent out the first week or so of January  2018. The Session is considering using the generous donations for the special Thanksgiving Offering in November,  amounting to $1144.00, for some kind of benevolence outside of our local church, such as the Presbyterian  Church (USA) Disaster Assistance fund. A decision will be made at the January Session, meeting.  Discussion of the Children’s Christian Education program included plans for a paid teacher, and possibly a  paid Education Director, with the nursery attendant becoming a volunteer position. Details will be pursued in  more detail beginning in January.  The called Congregational Meeting to be held in January for committee reports to the Congregation and  election of Nominating Committee members was approved for Sunday, January 28.  An estimate for various repairs to the church building was approved by the Session.  The Next Session meeting is scheduled for January 14.
